Provided they're in very good condition as advertised, is $1100 too much for a M101 with a Leslie 351 already hooked up?

availability of the hammond/ leslie combo would be the deciding factor. I think every home should have a hammond organ & leslie; if they are rarely seen advertised in your area, then (gulp) yes buy it & explain to your child why they can't play football, learn to play a brass instrument, electric guitar or drum kit. The spinets are the best kept secrets of the the tonewheel line: lovely instruments with machined parts made from materials not used much anymore & assembled with the human touch. I am such an enthusiast. At this time, they are readily available throughout the U.S. because the generation that bought them are passing on to next of kin that either don't play or don't have passion for the indescribable mojo released into our mortal realm when a sympathetic human plays the hammond/leslie combo.:-B
