Was he having a hard time reaching the pedals?

      Thanks Officer Grammar

The Organ is eight years old. The seller is not.

i have just returned from visiting the organ. I played it and had it played for me by very talented player who is selling due to declining physical condition. It saddens me because he really loves the instrument.

the 578 is in mint condition. Not a scratch. It plays beautifully. Everything works perfectly.

i spoke with our Rodgers dealer. They sold the organ to the seller and voiced it in his home. They told me that his asking price was reasonable. The 578 is a predecessor of the Artist 579. The original list price for the 578 was around $35k. This was in 2011.

I bought it on the spot. I have seen nothing close to the quality of this organ during my 21 month search. ss you will recall, I was about to purchase an Inspire 233 but could not, in the end, justify the cost of a new instrument. I Am very pleased with this choice. Deo gratias.

        Congratulations on your new acquisition!

Sorry, I couldn't resist the pedal comment 8) I have a newspaper clipping on my wall from many years ago (well before the internet) that says:

No problem. I was imprecise in my writing.

Congratulations on your new purchase. I have serviced two of this model and really liked the sound..Both were installed in a medium size church and was very impressive. Wishing you the best!

Sounds like you got a good organ at a good price. What more could one ask for? I was involved in the sale and installation of a 578 a few years back that cost up around $40K. It was a nice instrument, and the voicing and finishing capabilities built into it are quite amazing.

Thanks, This was clearly a case of being in the right place at the right time. As mentioned above, I was not actively searching for an Organ and this one just popped out of nowhere.

This is one has the basic Rodgers/Roland audio systems: 2 50W amps and 2 small satellites , 15W each. I heard it in a carpeted room, about 10 x 12 feet. My intended location will be a 15 x 30 room. It may need some more audio boost, but there is little room for any external speakers. I will see when it arrives.
