well I am new to this site and well, don't know all that much about organs
My mother was a church organist for almost 70 yrs
and cannot do ti no more, she has a very nice well cared for Allen computer organ system organ, I cannot find a model number on it, but in the owners manual, it says 100-200-300, and THINK from what I can tell its a 300 model, but cannot find any info out on it
she recently had it tuned and I think a new sound card or what ever replaced
She is going to be looking to sell it, and I /we have no clue what its worth, for a FAIR price, not looking to make a ton of money on anything here, just like to see a fair price and it find a another good home, she bought it USED in 1998.
can anyone tell me anything about where to maybe find a specific model number on it, and or any other info on it, from value to desirable or not model/series?
its located in NE Pa. too in case anyone has any interest
also has a several hundred lbs of sheet music too, she would like to see find a new homes

thanks in advance and thanks for having me on this site

    Mrbb,

If you can lift the lid, on the back rail where the cover is hinged, you should find a plate with patent numbers on it. At the bottom, left of that plate, you will find the model number there.

If you cannot lift the lid, it is probably a contemporary console, and as I've never worked on one, you'll need to wait for others with more experience than I to tell you where the plate is on that organ.

Hope this helps get you started.

      thanks for the reply
I did talk to a ALLEN organ dealer and he thinks based off the info I gave him, its a early 1970's or so model

I am not near the organ(live a 100 miles away) but will be there next week and will look again for tags under covers to 100% ID it

from what I learned today making calls, is its worth between 1200-1500 or so,

so, if anyone has any interest in it, a grand will take it

I will take some pic's next week and then post them if possible here, and place a for sale add as well

will also update this post/tread with exact info after finding this tag

and myorgan thanks for the tip on where to look!

        Mrbb,

Your post above is actually very close to being a classified. Please post it in the organ classifieds section once you have the model number. For now, I'll leave your post intact, but please read the information on posting classifieds before you make your post there. If you want to know what the organ is worth, we do have a What's It Worth section where people can search a value before posting a classified.

Another location you may wish to post is at Barton Theatre Organs classifieds (http://barton.theatreorgans.com/adsearch.asp). It takes a while (days) for the post there to be approved, but I've actually found items there to purchase/sell.

You might be able to sell your mother's organ music to Craig Cramer. If you send me a private message, I can give you his email address.
