A 'local' organ store is closing and I happened to have the opportunity to go and look at what was in stock. I became quite interested in the Atelier organs the store had. My WERSI DX 500 Delta, still works fine, but I am toying with the idea of getting a newer organ. There are not a lot available to compare prices, so I wanted to ask what a fair value would be for an Atelier AT-500. This AT-500 just came up on Craigslist. It is located in New Jersey.I am in Pennsylvania.

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Thank you. I am slowly reading through the manual to get a basic understanding of the organ. I have already come across something that is baffling. When I turn the organ on, if I play some notes,it is fairly 'loud'. However, as soon as I depress the expression pedal(forward), the volume drops substantially. On any organ I have owned,I always retract the expression pedal before turning off. Same here. So when I turn the 900 on,there is substantial volume, but as soon as I move the expression pedal forward, the volume drops a lot. Is this by design or defect?

That's not by design. If it's loud with the pedal at minimum on start-up, then operates normally once you start moving the pedal, you probably have a faulty pot in the pedal. I've come across scratchy pots before, that jump in volume (mine will occasionally do it a couple of times then work OK again) and the answer is to replace the pot.
Workaround is simply to switch on and waggle the pedal before playing. I do it without thinking on every organ I play, every time! It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Thought I posted this but cannot find it. I am learning my new instrument AT-900C Platinum- slowly as there is so much to learn. Regarding the D Beam- can I assign 'voices' to it or are they set by default? I read the two pages in the user manual but there is no mention of assigning a voice to it.
