  • Rodgers and Allen technical documentation needed

I just noticed that this section has been added. It is a great idea! Since I deal with all kinds of organs and even electronic keyboards/pianos from the 1930s (Hammond Novachord [Don't have one yet]) forward. It is a totally hit and miss thing to find technical manuals for these older instruments and since Rodgers has taken the route of Allen and made their manuals only accessible for authorized technicians and dealers, it makes it mush more difficult to get the technical information that was easily available, even a couple of years ago. Admittedly, we are in an unusual situation, as we are a not-for-profit organization that collects and restores/repairs all kinds of keyboard instruments from any time period before re-homing them to places that cannot afford a repaired/restored instrument, like schools, some churches and nursing homes, but could clearly benefit from them (and to keep them out of the way of destruction/landfills) (Go to http://www.isphi.org to learn more about what we do).

Right now, I am looking for Rodgers service manuals and schematics for the 750BE and the 780, as well as their M10C and M6 CF D/B speakers. We have numerous Rodgers "professional organs as well as some Allen organs in our"collection" and having the manuals/schematics is critical. We do not service any organs except those that we get, so we are not trying to take customers away from any companies that do this type of repair. In fact, we could actually be adding instruments that will need ongoing maintenance, thus creating work for those who service these instruments.

At least in Rodgers case (and I would guess Allen's), I know that all of the service manuals and schematics are available on their technician's site. I would love to get a login and password for that :)

    Thank you for your help.
