  • Wurlitzer 4460 schematics needed and general rambling...

I find myself with two Wurlitzer 4460's. Love to have some schematics if anyone has a line on some. Got to digging into one of them. First, to answer an earlier post, there is a block on the inside left side of the organ inline with the power cord. No magic here. It's an interlock switch that cuts the power off if you take the back off. It's there to try to save you from your own curiosity. Just a push button switch under a wood block cover, the back has a plunger that activates it. Now, to the more interesting stuff. It has a bunch of the usual Wurli tube divider 12FQ8's apparently serving as both the oscillator and dividers for the keyboards. But there are two additional chassis at the bottom. The one on the left looks like a pretty gutsy tube amp, A couple 6L6 outputs, a 5U4 rectifier, and a few 12ax7's. Typical of a 25 or 30 watt tube amp of the day. About right, it's driving a couple Magnavox 15" speakers with 1" paper voice coils, and a tweeter. But it also has a few 12FQ8's on it, which seem to be typical of master oscillator and dividers. Funny place for them on the amp chassis. Then there is another chassis down on the bottom with a raft of 12AX7's, on it, 5 if I recall, with a bunch of those tune-able iron core coils and caps. It looks for all the world like the oscillators for the pedals. I'm trying to figure out, why are there 12FQ8's on the amp chassis, and if they used 12FQ8's for the oscillators for the keyboards, why are they apparently using 12AX7's for oscillators for the pedals? Anybody have a clue, or at least a schematic?

I have several schematics for 4460 & 4462. I need some help with mine, perhaps we may help each other out on repairs or general w &a?
