    How about this one?

Especially when there are two others free for the taking!

My home organ is a circa 1990 Galanti Praeludium III, with Wicks/Viscount CM-100 module supplying extra voices. I also have an Allen MDS Theatre II (princess pedalboard!) with an MDS II MIDI Expander.

The rhythm unit is what makes that 301 worth so much. And the lack of particle board.

I've noticed a couple of sellers on the East coast who are selling used organs for a premium. One fellow is parting out Allens as new as the MDS line and is charging dealer wholesale prices for the boards (ca. $400-$500 each). I suspect if these organs don't sell at those prices, we will see the parts being sold for dealer wholesale prices.

I know used car prices are going up due to the lack of value of the American dollar, and I wonder if some opportunists are attempting to do the same with used organs.

Way too many organs to list, but I do have 5 Allens:
    • MOS-2 Model 505-B / ADC-4300-DK / ADC-5400 / ADC-6000 (Symphony) / ADC-8000DKC
    • Lowrey Heritage (DSO-1)
    • 11 Pump Organs, 1 Pipe Organ & 7 Pianos

Well, then I'm pricing things too low! ;-)

Based on what I pay on the west coast those Allen prices in the original post are off by a factor of ten. I have the $7500 one sitting right beside me already converted for Hauptwerk and I wouldn't ask anywhere near that price. Well, buyers and sellers make a market and more power to a seller if someone will pay that. In original condition and working maybe $1000 and a bit more to an Allen dealer of course. Converted for Hauptwerk with a fully functional capture system or dual monitors perhaps as high as $3000. Just my opinion for the west coast.

EDIT: My version of the Allen has a third manual added. It's not for sale in any case.

As a follow-up to the OP's post, what's amazing to me is the 2-3 other eBay users (not FF this time!) who are listing organs for such exorbitant prices, end up parting them out a few months after no one buys them. No less than 2 of them now have the bits and pieces of the organ listed individually, and BOTH have listed the Crescendo roller as an Foot Volume Expression pedal. It's not enough they're betraying their ignorance, they're puting it in front for all the world to see–and using extra words to reveal it! About the only thing correct in their listings are when they use the word "foot."

The sad thing is that somehow they're managing to find serviceable organs to offer for those prices, and if they don't get what they want, they end up destroying the instrument–making it no longer useful for someone would could use it–presumably not even useful for Hauptwerk or another VPO. Even further distressing, is that I actually gave one of the sellers business before I knew of his practices.

          Live and learn!

That’s too bad. The keyboards and pedalboards are actually quite marketable, but not for anything near what they were asking at first! Wouldn’t it make sense to reduce the organ to the cost of the keyboards and pedalboards rather than gut them and try to sell everything piecemeal? I also don’t understand, and definitely don’t agree!
