• Gabriel's Oboe

Do yourself a huge favor......find a copy of the organ arrangement of Gabriel's Oboe from "The Mission"....Ennio Morricone, arr. Mark McGurty.

This is one absoluty beautiful piece of music for the organ. Play is slow and with a lot of feeling. You'll enjoy this one.....and it's an easy read.

Agreed, indeed! I have a MIDI copy that plays through my organ and it is an awesome sound. Also on iTunes, check out Gabriel's Oboe as a selection from the French CD called Meditation Hautbois et Orgue. Wonderful. If you are familiar with the orchestral score from the movie, the organ version is better presented IMHO.

Beautiful music. I wrote a piano arrangement of it for one of my students, but I have no clue where to "find" an organ arrangement. Any ideas?

Don, do you have a copy? Where did you get it?

I got my copy from a friend. I can ask him where he purchased it and let you know.
