I know there is already a post concerning the organ and church in the movie August Rush but this is concerning the music itself.

I would like to have sheet music for that specific music in the movie. If anyone is able to help me with this project I would be most appreciative!

Hello,

I have actually written that music out as best I could. Unfortunately, one cannot go by the video because there are errors. The notes you see being pressed on the keyboard are ascending intervals, while the notes actually being played are adescending scale. This can clearly be seen in the piano scene where the little girl shows him the notes of the bass and treble clef. I use that scene as an example for my students after we've covered intervals in music theory.

The version I have has errors, as I was transcribing it by ear, but I'd be open to constructive criticism/suggestions/improvements as people find more correct ways of playing the music.

I will e-mail you a PDF copy of the score. However, I'd recommend that you NEVER post your e-mail address on this list. This discussion is indexed by Google, and you're apt to receive unwelcome e-mail from various sources who have now added you to their junk mail list related to organs.

Hope this helps.

P.S. It will be about a day before I can e-mail you because it is on another computer at work. I'm on vacation this week, but plan to go to work soon.

Way too many organs to list, but I do have 5 Allens:

Hi,
I know this is a long shot, because this thread is rather old. (From 2009... and its 2014.) However, I was hoping either one of you would still have the transcription of music from that scene. That song means a lot to me and I was hoping to walk down the isle to it. However, it is not included in any of the sheet music books, and I am unable to find it ANYWHERE. I guess I was just hoping one of you could help me out and let me know if you have even part of the organ music for it.
