    Sadly, the version in Hymnal 1982 is a completely different (and lame!) tune

    The UMC Hymnal uses tune TRENTHAM for that text. It also has a totally different tune named PENTECOST--used for "Ev'ry Time I Feel the Spirit". The Brits use a lot of different tunes for Hymns than are typical here in the Colonies.
