  • Carry on wayward son drawbars

Hello , I’m new to the forum , I was wondering what drawbar settings are in the solo for carry on wayward son , to me it sounds like 888000000 but I can’t figure out if there chorus or percussion? If anybody could help me that would be great , thanks.

that sounds like it would work for the solo in COWS, with vibrato chorus and soft percussion on 3d harmonic. for the offbeat organ chords during the main riff however, there is no vibrato on that particular registration, which might also have a touch of drawbars 8 & 9 for a little "shimmer." there may be also be soft volume percussion in 3d harmonic just for a little attack on the organ during that main riff.

I read an interview years ago where Steve Walsh said he played hammond with all drawbars out. that may be the case with a piece like Point of Know Return, or Closet Chronicals, but if you listen to "questions of my childhood" " child of innocence" or "the pinnacle," he definitely has explored many frequency combinations with the B3.
