If you are not aware of who Austrian composer Alma Deutscher is then today is a day you'll not soon forget! 😊 At age 14, this past December (she turned 15 in Feb. 2020) Alma played Carnegie Hall (a must see). Just enter her name on Youtube and watch at random...perhaps begin with her Ellen TV interview at age 8. She wrote her first stage opera around this time. Her unique, and frankly more interesting, take on Cinderella. I recommend you watch her two full orchestra 2017 performances (she is wearing a pink dress in the thumbnail images). Alma was 12 1/2 then. Since Alma cannot perform with the orchestra as planned for before the Covid-19 pandemic', instead she is posting short videos from home. Today April 7th,2020 she posted a video with her younger sister. They sing as a duet to Alma's piano, an excerpt from her Cinderella opera.

Includes an interview with the two girls discussing Bach and their interpretation. Especially in the second part of the interview.
