    Thank you for the info, acc; it is a sad day for me personally, as I have really fallen in love with her music, especially the 5 Chorales and the Litanies, Rondel and Fugue. May she rest in peace.

      Indeed, she was a legend in her own right. I believe there will be a religious ceremony dedicated to her memory at St.Eustache on 30th June.

          I've just found a website selling a CD of Rolande Falcinelli playing Widor's Symphonie Romaine at St. Sulpice as well as a Dupre improv based on a theme by Falcinelli. Also of interest is a live concert of the Durufles from 1971. Anyone hear the LP version of the Falcinelli recording?</P>

              I finally got the Hortus disc and agree that the performance of Evocation is awesome. I never realized how complex this piece is-Falcinelli really brings out the conterpoint.Proof that virtuosity is not just playing fast. She is the Michelangeli of the organ!
