  • Orgues du Québec / Organs of Québec

If anyone is interested in learning about some of the oldest organs in North America, I stumbled across this website today. Thought it might interest some of y'all. It's in French and English (English translations at the bottom of each page).

It could probably also be named for Cassavant Frères, as they had a hand in many of the organs of Québec, but it's an excellent resource.

I was noticing many of the rebuilds of organs of the 1920s and '30s and how they were tonally re-designed and/or re-voicedin the 1970s & '80s. The webpage is an excellent resource, and I could only find one other reference to the page on the Organ Forum.

Too bad we don't have a reference section. This page would be a wonderful reference for the organs. Hope someone finds this useful.
