  • Anyone in/around Detroit know about this?

I was perusing You Tube and found this sad 5 minute video depicting this seemingly abandonedWoodward Presbyterian church. Apparently there's a Skinner Tellers organ still in there. Wonder why no one got it out? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imcVshjgB8w There's no audio, but some footage of the organ in the beginning and end of the video.

    Edit: correction on builder name.

I grew up in Detroit and I'm sure I have driven by that church many times. I left there in 1960, though, and have no idea what ensued afterward. I wonder what became of the missing pipes?

The organ is a Tellers, not Skinner.

[:$] Ok I feel kinda dumb.....video comments aside, I could have sworn the console badge said otherwise, but it certainly does say Tellers; ittook a few tries topause it right on the :10 mark to get a good look at it. I had thought maybe it wasa lost opusof some sort because I couldn't find any info on the OHS database with the church's name. Found it with the proper organ builder's name, though. Still looks like it could be a beautiful organ in the right hands. Thanks for the correction.
