Facinating article on the new "old" pipe organ at Rochester.

My teacher, Stephen Kennedy's church!!! He's MM/organist there. I've played it once, heard it 5 or so times. Beautiful!

FWIW, there are actually several huge angel sculptures on the top of the original organ case in Lithuania. If anyone is feeling generous, they have not yet been replicated for the Rochester organ because they are quite expensive to craft-$18,000 each. Contributions may be directed to the ESM organ department.

I had the pleasure of hearing this organ for the first time on Friday night Feb. 12, It was an all Bach program played by Joan Lippincott. Joan's playing was fantastic, but I was blown away by the organ. I was particularly fond of the reed stops. We here in Rochester are blessed to have such a fine instrument, and I plan to here it again as often as I can.
