i use an old organ from the 1926 era. i think it was made by kimball or something and it was recently rennovated by milnar. i can't figure which one made the tremulants but they don't work. they run way too loud and don't have any effect on the music. does anybody have an idea of how i could fix it?

Re: tremulant problems
I've never had luck with tremulants. The "Tremolo" at FUMC doesn't work at all. It used to make a strange clicking noise, but now it doesn't do anything at all any more.
I imagine you'll need to give a better description of your problem, and better describe the organ so some people can better help you!

Re: tremulant problems
Greetings,
I'd be curious to know if Organ #1 has a motor tremulant... If so, there is probably a unit bolted to the top of one or more of the regulators.
Does Organ #2 (FUMC) happen to be a Casavant by chance? Sometimes Casavant used little electronic pulse generators that could be set to fire at a certain interval, which then in turn operated a magnet that dumped air from a set of pneumatics attached to the Schwimmer on a given chest. I don't much care for them because they seem to have a tendency to send the pitch out of whack on a division. Come to think of it, I don't much care for Casavant Schwimmers!
Best,
Nathan
