I am a conductor at SUNY Fredonia (an large undergraduate music school) and come from an historically informed background and wish to find a good continuo organ in Western New York which to rent (while I try to convince the school to buy one). Publick Musick is defunct (I believe) and are the only ones I know of. Does Eastman have one to rent? I know tuning would be a problem but I would likely house and pay a tuner to be on-site for a few days if necessary. I only need it once per year each December. Messiah one year (full-no cuts and in different "versions") and a Bach Cantata concert on the off years. These performances are with professional players and professional soloists who are baroque speciailists that I know from my own singing. We need a good continuo organ to equal the music we are making. Any help would be appreciated.

I do not think that the Eastman house rents out organs, as they have been known to rent them themselves. I did however, find this ad in our local craigslist a little while ago. It might not be exactly what you're looking for, but maybe it can help:
