  • Austin Wind Chest - please help

I purchased a church that has an amazingly beautiful Autin Wind Chest by Universal inside. The building is in disrepair and must come down. What do I do with the beautful organ? I have pictures.
    Thank you

I think you'll get better answers in a more appropriate forum. This is for Hammond organs only.
    Current organs: AV, M-3, A-100
    Current Leslies: 22H, 122, 770

Is the organ complete and in otherwise good condition? The organ brand is Austin...the windchest style is Universal (it's the only type of action Austin has made). You could list the organ for sale on organ related web pages (there is a pipe organ category on this BB). Where is the organ located? Perhaps contacting the Organ Clearing House (google them for their web site) may be a way to save the organ >>IF<< it is fully intact. Maybe the moderator of this forum could move this to the appropriate section if you ask nice. ;-)

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
