  • Heart of Nation Catholic Television Mass -- What organ do they use?

Does anyone on these fora know what organ is used for the Heart of Nation Catholic Television Mass?

The organ sounds like it could be one of the all-pipe unit chapel organs made by Schlicker in the 1970s.
When you get a slight glimpse of the console, it looks like a small Schlicker, or perhaps a Holtkamp.

Sometimes the organ sound like a nice little unit pipe organ and other times it sounds like a well-voiced digital instrument.
Perhaps it could be a hybrid?

Either way, I enjoy hearing them use the organ for their Mass along with other traditional instruments and the choir.

This Mass is broadcast from a beautiful seminary chapel.

Why do I not simply contact them and ask them myself?

Simple: I prefer to stay off their radar.

Many thanks to anyone who can solve this mystery!

The organ is a Reuter hooter. It replaced a Schuelke-Wangerin organ. the Reuter was from another (acoustically treated) chapel on the same grounds. When the diocese went into bankruptcy and lost some property, the priests who originally donated the instrument insisted that it be saved. It is not worth it. The room helps it greatly.

Thank you for your informative response, Pat!

I will take "hooter" to indicate a unit organ, perhaps five ranks.

Not to indicate a unit organ, but that all the flue ranks sounded like a wide flute.

Typical "American" organ sound of the early to mid 20th century prior to the "orgelbewegung".

After checking on my memory I recall that Stanton Peters re-voiced the instrument. He also recomposed the mixtures. I called him and he confirmed. He also said that Reuter may have moved the instrument.
