  • About Speaker Screen Pipe Facade Design Opinions Sought

I received this post as a private message. I have posted it here for everyone to benefit. It was sent to me by member, Diapson.
The main problem with this salvage facade is that it has too many large pipes. Smaller diameters are in short supply on it. Making lots of phone calls today; starting a hunt for more suitable pipes.
Where does one even start the hunt for facade pipes? I would love to have a small display but don't even know where to begin a hunt like that. Any ideas?

Way too many organs to list, but I do have 5 Allens:
    • MOS-2 Model 505-B / ADC-4300-DK / ADC-5400 / ADC-6000 (Symphony) / ADC-8000DKC
    • Lowrey Heritage (DSO-1)
    • 11 Pump Organs, 1 Pipe Organ & 7 Pianos

Pipe Organ Clearinghouse sites. I've not seen facade ranks specifically but if there were some that would be where they would be. R.A. Colby have their own 'for sale' section of their website.

Edit: Maybe you can post your own 'Wanted: To Buy' ad here: http://barton.theatreorgans.com/AdSearch_1.ASP

Do we know how much space this is to cover? A pair of 1' x 4' speakers? A chamber opening that's 20' x 20'?

As for most things, you can find facades on *bay, *raiglist, *acebook marketplace, and other various sites. I am currently interested in buying a facade for display, also.

Forgive me for being so simple, but I use my Conn Speaker Pipes for that purpose.

Actually not. I looked long and hard and drove to Lousiana to pick them up!
