What was 'MF' tab likely to be?

Or it might be MP. This was on my console. When I got it, there was a sticky label covering it, for tuba or some such. I cleaned all the tabs and I want to arrange them sensibly so I can map HW organ stops to them consistent with the labels where possible. So to that end, what was MF likely to stand for and do?

Mezzo Forte or Mezzo Piano; i.e., medium loud or medium soft. Used to modify the volume of the pedal division.

Thank you. How would it have worked? Turn on more stops?

There were two expression shoes, and a crescendo pedal, by the by. Also a sticker on the music stand that said 'this organ doesn't have any shades so the swell and great pedals are not functional'

Could it have been MP, like a Lieblich mechanism employed on Bourdon pipes? For an electronic organ, it would be fairly straightforward, but on a pipe organ that's the only possible use/meaning I can think of.
