Well, guys, I won't be attending. I am almost 55 and am at my ideal weight, which is slightly less than I weighed in college; and I want to keep it that way. Ludwigtone, you mentioned a cholesterol screening? Was this a joke?

Ok, so I'd brag too if I could fit into those size 29 jeans I used to wear in college. I'm trying SO hard to stop getting so 'fluffy', but with everything and more that's mentioned here tempting me, it's tough. Yes, I'm tipping right on the edge of having to watch the cholesterol issue, but fortunately, nothing too serious yet. I've heard it said that you gain 10 lbs every 10 years. So far that's been true for me... but then I was a STICK in my teens and 20's. Now I'm normal at 179, and 47 1/2 years old,so I'm trying NOT to go any further. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm out to walk.... [:(]

...in spite of your Forum image, which looks like a bizarre caricature of George Burns shortly before his death.

I know, I've thought the same thing every time I see it!!! I think it's a HOOT! I think it's actually supposed to be some sort of Rapping monkey, but am not sure. I just knew it was different and memorable. And it makes me smile [:D]

AADD? Is that some sort of attention deficit thing a ma jig?

Oh, y'all make me so hungry talking about all those things I used to eat. At 67 years old, and a boderline cholesterol number, all I can do now days is have a Gin and Tonic! An old guy I used to work for many years ago once said..."by the time a guy gets to the financial state that he can afford a great meal, he can't eat it". How true.
As much as I love living here in Merdia, Yucatan, the food is awful.
That's terrible to hear. [:^)] I would not have imagined that to be the case.

Speaking of weight - I alsoused towear size 29 pants, and weighed about 115 (!) poundsthrough most of myyounger years.

Now I have to watch what I eat. [:|]

Well, I shouldn't say the food in Merida is awful, but being from New Orleans I find the food here rather limited. Lots of pork, very little green veggies.
Yes, AADD is "Adult Attention Deficit Disorder" which is what they call ADD when it appears in adults. Many of us older folks think all the younger ones suffer from it because patience, forbearance, concentration, reflection, seem to have been replaced by instant gratification. The ability to focus on an issue or operation is much less prevalent in the modern generations, I fear.

Indeed, David; and then there is ADHD, which I believe is the acronym for "attention deficit hyperactive disorder." I have heard that some cases may be curable through proper nutritional supplements.

All of this notwithstanding, I think that Mondochuck's use of AADD following his presumably dialectic laugh, i.e, "jejeje" may have been his dialectic and/or slang way of saying "That is." I have heard some people say "Ahdz" for "That is." It is my sincere hope that my guess in this regard does not offend anyone.

                  Cheers!
