Where can I find the score for that Bolero de Concert? Isn't the Liverpool Cathedral Tuba Magna one of the world'sloudest stops, or am I thinking of another stop?[:S]

You can order it from the OHS website: http://www.ohscatalog.com/leforwor.html

(the Boléro, not the Tuba) [:)]

Your post asked where to get sheet music and also asked about the Tuba Magna at Liverpool.

My reply stated that youcould order"it"from the OHS website;I thought I should clarify that you are getting sheet music, not a Tuba Magna. [;)] [:D]

I watched a couple of these videos last week - fabulous stuff.

I've decided to resurrect the Bolero and get playing it again, as I've been playing quite a bit of Lefebure-Wely recently.

Whilst in Paris recentlyI picked up a copy of Ben van Oosten playing some of the organ works at La Madeleine - and he does a superb rendition of this work. Of course - it was actually written for the harmonium!

Weren't those videos so much fun? Have you ever visited Liverpool Anglican? Just try a CE there sometime, not to mention a comparatively "low church" Eucharist. How well I remember Ian Tracey launching into Franck's magisterial E major at full volume -total orgasm!- and then he just built it up from there. Unbelievable, I will never forget it.

Alas, Liverpool also has a reputation for heavy drinking... it's almost as if on a Saturday night people go out for the express purpose of getting s*it-faced drunk! At least what little I remember of it... [:S]

So Lefebure-Wely's Bolero was originally written for harmonium? I didn't know that... oops.

Edit: yes tumult, I owe you an email, my Yahoo account has been really dodgy the last several days. Ew, rather a nuisance. [8o|]
