    Coral Ridge is halfway to its target of $1 million for the refurb:

    The problem with the leather used after the war, was that it was tanned in a quick process, unlike the early periods before WW II, Our Aeolian from 1927 has great leather still. The only bad material appears in repairs done in the 80's. Can't say it will last for ever but I'm sure it will last at least another 20 years. If I remember correctly, it is kangaroo leather. We did have to replace a valve for the 16 wood open, about the size of a saucer. Nothin' like "flexible winding".I am surprised at the number of pouches they talk about, I thought Ruffatti used DI chests.
