Looking for affordable control systems for home organ

My home organ has a pretty old control system that isn't fit for future purpose. It doesn't function reliably, and I'd like to do things like to make modifications to the organ (like borrowing ranks across divisions) that would require the addition of heaps of "and" gates.
Ideally I'd like to replace it with something more modern, but the quotes I've found for this are all $4k-$20k for something appropriate.

Are there any other options?

I’m afraid that’s what it costs to have someone put it together for you. You can save some money and engineer things yourself, but it’s going to take a lot of time and frustration. Personally I think $4000 is a good deal!

But it is possible to do it yourself. Basically you’d have to retrofit the chest with a valve magnet for each pipe, then carefully wire a power supply to each one (and be careful, any short can quickly start a fire!) Then you need some kind of Arduino/midi control system. Midi Boutique sells one (or sold one, don’t know how the business is doing these days!), but you may be able to put one together using darlingtons or relays and one or more arduino’s. Depending on what path you go down, parts can be expensive, so you’d have to do some research to make sure you’re going to be able to finish the project on budget!

Hi, I would definitely take a look at an Opus Two system: https://www.opustwoics.com/ it’s really easy to assemble (though they will do everything for you if you wish) and relatively affordable. Honestly one of if not the best control system out there. The team is very responsive and helpful so I would definitely give them a call even if you are just curious about it. If you post the specification of your instrument that might help to know what type of stuff you need.
