I just bought a box that was once used to move an Estey organ. When I opened the box, low and behold the organ was still in there!
Well, that's my story and Im sticking to it. It appears to be one of the largest reed organs I've seen specifically designed to be portable.I don't know if this was designated as a chaplain's organ, but the seller and I did manage to drag it out of the basement with some difficulty, sans hand truck or organ jacks. I might guess it weighs somewhere between 100 and 150 pounds.
As you can see, my Kat Kritque has already taken up residence, no doubt to keep my from practicing my lack of skills upon it. I could only attach five photos, but there are a couple more on my profile. It is serial number 426055 and if anyone has a Gellerman's handy you can tell me if a black 38 stamped on it might correctly indicate the year of manufacture. Also, if anyone knows what model this might be, I will try to get it into the ROS catalog after I fix the broken stop and take a few better photos.
