  • Age of Organ

We received a Windsor Chicago Reed Organ that belonged to my husbands great great grandparents, I found a number on the back 26492. I believe they had it shipped from the Montgomery Wards Catalog. Trying to identify the age. Appreciate any help. Thank you

    Hi, Terri,

If you'll go to the Reed Organ Society here - http://www.reedsoc.org/ - select "ROS Database" in the left menu, and then search for "Montgomery Ward," you'll find several Windsor organs listed. It looks like most of them are +/- 10 years around 1900. Do either of you play organ, piano, or keyboard? (Reed organs are easy to play.)
