  • Unusual Mason & Hamlin 1m available free in UK

I've come across someone trying to give away their late mother's one manual Mason and Hamlin (Metzler American Organ badged). It looks like a one manual Model 43 - anyone know what model that would be? Six stops plus Vox Humana on/off arranged over the keyboard, F-f compass, knee levers. Two stuck keys and the pedals no longer pump, but looked significantly better than the usual pump organs so I thought worth a bit of effort to rehouse.

Any help, pointers to likely takers etc. welcome.

    The 1m equivalent of a 46 is a 45.

That's it. So it's a Mason & Hamlin Model 45 Reed Organ. I've found some other information from a sold model of it, but this is a (poor quality) actual iage of it.

It has Resonant case, 131 cm wide, 60cm deep and 101cm high. All stop labels and music rest present, stops are Auto Swell, 1 Diapason, 2 Viola, Vox Humana On and Off (tremolo), 2 Flute, 1 Melodia, and Euphone Solo.

Pedals now need attention, and two keys are stuck. Free for urgent collection from near Kielder in NE England.

Most of the ones of this series, 45, 46, etc, are found in the UK. I have never seen one in the USA. The Euphone 16ft is apparently a very nice sound, it sits under the VH fan and gets its full effect.
