MakIng new reeds out of soda cans

is it possible to make reed organ reeds out of soda can grade aluminum or have I stepped into a no go zone with this kind of metal.

Certainly! But they won't hold their pitch, and they'll sound *awful*.

Other than that, they'll be fine.

Other than sheer cost, I don't know why you'd want to do that. Spring steel and brass aren't that much more expensive than 6061-T6 at the proper thickness.
