Found this millwork on Facebook Marketplace. Originally, I thought it might have been part of a chancel façade. Gee, did I spell that right? Anyway, I noticed that it had a serial number, so I now assume it most likely came off of a reed organ. Probably not a small home unit, as the piece is about 30 pounds. The number stamped on it is 28308. Would be interesting to find out where its last home was. Now it sits on my Victorian.

Interesting piece with potentially interesting history. Check out the organ in the following links. Note the absence of pedals. The picture you added shows an organ of similar construction. Perhaps Rodney or Casey might want to take a look and comment. The name: Doherty can just be distinguished on the front. Perhaps that is where one can start looking. Thanks for sharing.

The to portion looks different but the rest of the organ looks very similar.
