Found this millwork on Facebook Marketplace. Originally, I thought it might have been part of a chancel fa├žade. Gee, did I spell that right? Anyway, I noticed that it had a serial number, so I now assume it most likely came off of a reed organ. Probably not a small home unit, as the piece is about 30 pounds. The number stamped on it is 28308. Would be interesting to find out where its last home was. Now it sits on my Victorian.

Interesting piece with potentially interesting history. Check out the organ in the following links. Note the absence of pedals. The picture you added shows an organ of similar construction. Perhaps Rodney or Casey might want to take a look and comment. The name: Doherty can just be distinguished on the front. Perhaps that is where one can start looking. Thanks for sharing.

The to portion looks different but the rest of the organ looks very similar.

Made by Doherty in Canadia, called the "Victorian". 2M foot-pumper.

No, I was asking about the millwork, not the organ, which is my Victorian. I just found the millwork and am pretty sure it was once associated with an organ.

I haven't been on here for a while and cant find my inbox. Has that been replaced bythe chat feature? Or maybe I just left it somewhere.
