  • B. Shoninger, New Haven, CT. Reed organ

This is a Shoninger Bell organ. It is missing the mirrored top and will need a full restoration to work correctly. I have been tasked with the dispensing of this organ in one form or another. I am waiting one week to see if a collector will take this whole. Otherwise, I am parting it out. There is no charge for this organ, nor will there be for the parts. You can pick up this organ in Jay, Maine. There is the possibility of being able to deliver this organ to you for a fee tbd.
If it parts out, I will change this post to reflect that. I will ship parts for a $10 handling fee plus postage to be paid via PayPal prior to shipment. Do not hesitate to ask questions. I have not evaluated this organ to determine the scope of the restoration, but I believe it to be largely original. WARNING: This is incomplete as an “antique” and DOES NOT currently play. This is a restoration piece.
You may only view thumbnails in this gallery. This gallery has 5 photos.

I am a collector/restorer and reed organ performer, and will take the entire instrument. I'm located in Stoneham, Maine (about an hour away from Jay) and would be able to come get the organ. Always have wanted a Shoninger Bell organ!

Love to have the complete organ, as I have one with top and a poor case.
      Western MD, however...

Good news about this organ! The organ is going to a new home where it will remain intact and be completely restored. The new owner has plans to include it on a future recording of various reed organs. Thanks to all who helped me find a home for this instrument. The previous owner will be thrilled to know that his great-grandfather's organ will once again play beautiful music.
