    BTW, just out of curiosity...

Should those sliders be active all the time, or only under certain conditions.. I tried to see if there might be some combination of settings or stops that might affect whether the Attack/Decay would work or not.. but I wasn't successful.
I never had an owner's manual, and am farily savvy at figuring a lot of things out..

Are you referring to "Brass Mute?"

    Mystery solved: [oops!]

I just noticed a Grey stop that activates the Brass Mute. Once pressed, and using any of the Red Brass/Reed stops.. it then creates a 'wah-wah' effect with the selected rank(s)...

I overlooked that Grey tab... I figured the attack/decay was automatically on, and just affected the brass/reeds like a synth would. For whatever reason, the word 'Mute' brought to my mind a cancellation of sound.. and not the effect a trumpet-mute [etc.] would produce.

Thanks TD.. your question prompted me to look over all the stop tabs a few more times. I was not expecting a tab in a different area to affect/activate the sliders in the 'synth' section.
