Our Church has a Schulmerich Generation 2 (1974 ) carillon. We inherited this from a merger. This was working fine until it was moved. I connected this and we are experiencing blown input fuses in the amp. I have isolated the amp and the fuse does not blow. I spoke to a Schulemerich rep and it could be a # of things, however a service call to CT with a couple hrs labor will be $600. + parts. I know they are good, but the carillon just isn't worth that much. Does anyone know of any other service people that would know a circa '74 machine. 1 drawback - all manuals were lost in the move. The tapes, chimes, and timer work fine. It's that something is sending a bad input to the amp. I can't locate it. Any help is appreciated. And yes I've been told to go digital, that may be the road.

You might contact Organtek http://www.organtek.com/. There might be some module of some sort that you could ship for repair.
Toodles.

Find the member on this forum with the moniker [CarillonBells]. I believe he purchased an Allen ADC-6000 organ and has a home-made carillon. Here is a post of his:
