  • Another Leslie to Hammond question !

    Hi All
    I have just purchased a lovely T422 and a leslie 720 speaker. (bit of an upgrade from the Composer 140 !)
    I am delving through the posts here to see if anyone has paired the two together before but havent found anything specific yet.
    Has anyone connected the 9 pin on the organ to the 11 pin speaker plug ?
    I am wondering about the benefits of connecting through the 9 pin connector against rigging up a 1/4 inch guitar type plug and run directly from the organ headphone socket - can anyone see a potential problem with this ?

    I noted also a guy on you tube who has used the rotary channel of the 720 to play his guitar through and this was pretty interesting!

    Looking forward to your comments

    Yes the 2 can be hooked together. the 720 will plug into the wall and I think its pin 5 and 6 that have to be jumped or switched together to turn the leslie on. 1/4" will work as well but you have to rig up something for your tremelo speed switching. As far as the organ to leslie switching that would be a matter of corresponding the right pin outs on the organ to the leslie.....I dont have that info on hand but somebody else here might know it off the top off their head.

    Try this web site for pin out info;
