Picked this baby up on the weekend for $100. See my blog post and pictures about it at http://chasmac07.blogspot.com. I've always liked Barry Curtis' organ sound on "Money" - sounds like a Hammond should.

Interesting blog. Did they really need the chords for Smoke on the Water scratched in? Maybe the drummer was trying to play keyboards :pKeyboards: 1972 Fender Rhodes Stage 73, M-111, M-3, A-100, M2 Desk(!), B3!
Spinny things: Wurlitzer Tone Cabs (500 and 420), PR-40, 31W, 31H, chopped 31H, 125 (empty cabinet), 30A!!!

Hey - no dissin' the drummer - I am one! (:>). I got the impression that the organist was just starting out when he first had the organ, so he may not have been proficient yet. I know I need to have chords written down somewhere for almost everything I do, but then again, I'm basically a drummer who dabbles on keyboard, guitar and bass, and am nearly 60 (my short term memory is gone!). Thanks for your interest in my blog. Charlie

Intellectual dialog daily.
haha what Jdoc said. Wasn't serious, I just can't resist a music joke setup =D But I'm an equal punchline opportunist so...
If an clarinet plays a note in a forest, and no one is around to hear it, will it still be out of tune?
How many guitarists does it take to change a lightbulb? 3, one to do it, and two to talk about how much better Hendrix could have done it.
How many bassists does it take to change a lightbulb? None, the piano player can do that with his left hand! (or foot if he's an organist!)
Did you hear about the trombone player that was always in tune? Neither did I.
What's the definition of a minor second? Two oboists playing in perfect unison.
What does a Hammond organist do in his life's most tender moments? He puts his Leslie on "slow".
At a rehearsal, the conductor stops and shouts to the bass section: "You are out of tune. Check it, please!" The first bassist pulls all his strings, says, "Our tuning is correct: all the strings are equally tight." The first violist turns around and shouts, "You bloody idiot! It's not the tension. The pegs have to be parallel!"
:p k, I'll try to be on topic for the rest of the dayKeyboards: 1972 Fender Rhodes Stage 73, M-111, M-3, A-100, M2 Desk(!), B3!

Q: What's the difference between a chainsaw and a saxophone?
A: You can tune a chainsaw.
Q: A trombone player and a homeless guy are together, what's different about them?
A: The homeless guy has a shot at a PAYING gig.
One time my bass player locked his keys in the van, took him an hour to get the drummer out.Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

At the risk of turning this into a joke thread - How do you get the trombone player off your porch? You pay for the damn pizza already!!!Keyboards: 1972 Fender Rhodes Stage 73, M-111, M-3, A-100, M2 Desk(!), B3!
