  • Using M3 percussion unit on other hammond organs.

Is it possible to install the M3 percussion unit into a hammond CV organ? if so how?
Im sure it will involve lots o soldering.

There is no "percussion unit" - you would have to move the entire M3 amplifier (plus the percussion switching tablet) and just use the inputs and outputs you need.

This is why Trek has a successful business.

It's simpler, cleaner, faster and you get three percussion overtones with adjustable volumes.

My 'Franken CV' had L100 amps and preamps. No problem finding B+ for the CV preamp....didn't need the L100 vibrato preamp....
ran my percussion 'non vibrato' post rheo box(different than the M3/B3 'doghouse').I always liked the reverb on the L100,and the second
harmonic perc on fast decay (L100) sounds great as well IMO.
No M3/M100 were harmed,I harvested the remains of an old chopped L100.An old chopped M supplied most of the smooth playing keys, and bless Bob Schleicher for GIVING me
some C2 drawbars/base controls and preset panel.Split my vibrato.Eventually another M3 chop came my way.Enough smooth playing keys to finish both manuals.

Learned a little along the way.Have played the same A100 for twenty years.Same B2 for fourteen.CV is long gone.....how did it sound? Did I keep it? Heck no.......a few good ones
got away from me along the way.I've been at it nearly fifty years. Can't keep them all, what's the use in hoarding?

So you ran the perc at constant volume, regardless of pedal position???
