  • M3 ao29

    Hi,
Does anybody know if it is possible to pick the audio signal from my m3 before it is sent to the internal ao29 preamp? I just want to test if the preamp is making the organ sound dull.

That won't be a useful test. The amplification system and speakers are significant parts of the tone-shaping in a Hammond organ.

Geldo79, While looking at the AO29 from the rear notice the ground shield cover plate on the lower right side. Remove it. I think upper manual is 2 from left and lower is the right. The bass pedals are under another shield cover to the left. The upper and lower manual signals are a robust guitar pickup level. Guitar efx boxes fit nicely here. I've also had good results running Alesis line level reverbs at this point. If you want to test for dullness, plug a guitar in the upper manual input. It will give lot's of trebles and almost overdrive a tad with humbuckers.
