  • Colonnade 518 boards?!

Does anyone have the service manual or just the schematics of the 518 boards in the colonnade (333172)? My upper manual is fine, but my lower is barely audible. However, if I switch the connectors labeled 544 between the two, I get the opposite effect.

You can sometimes buy manuals for later hammonds from organservice of countryside, IL. Not the organservice of marengo IN.
You said in a previous thread that you had trouble with a filter board. I would check the power supply voltages on that filter board at 80% of whatever rating is on the electrolytic caps located on that board. If not change them. Tantalum caps are also usual suspects at this age.
I would then check to see that the DC voltage going in the 2 pins of op amps was equal. Then check op amps that Vout=A(V+-V-). Be especially suspicious of any norton op amps. I would then check transistors and diodes that there was a .6 v drop b-e on transistors or forwards on diodes.
I would then check resistor values as lower than what they say (transistors lower the values). Then I would check source to destination continuity on the component side of visually connected traces, to find bad solder joints.

PM me an email address and I'll scan those pages.
Reflow the solder on the connector pins first.
