Hi,
I have a question concerning line out on a M2. On my old old M2 (1953) (which has a field coil speaker) there is a line out which simply
connects the voice coil of the amp to a line out jack. By plugging in the jack, the voice coil from the internal speaker gets disconnected.
Thus, I can use the internal speaker when nothing is plugged in, and an external speaker when a jack is plugged in. Is this the correct way?
Is it ok that the field coil of the internal seaker is connected to the amp (AO-14) in both situations?
Second question: There is no dummy load (resistor) of 8 ohm when a jack is plugged in. I never had problems with that. But I've heard that this could
kill the amp. But I used this setup for years and nothing happened. Should a resistor be installed anyway?
Greetings Christian
