  • M2 foldback problem

    Hello,

I have a problem with my m2. I added full foldback on the upper manual, tested all connections using an ohmmeter and reinstalled the manual in the organ. After soldering all the wires to the terminals, I tested the connections again. I noticed that all the wires going from the terminals to the TWG seem to have contact to the upper manual chassis cover. That means, when all wires are soldered to the terminals, there is continuity between all terminals using an ohmmeter. I did not check that before unmounting the manual, but I am wondering if this is wrong. Isn't it? Btw, the lower manual is still not reinstalled in the organ. The strange thing is that i did not change anything concerning the terminal wires. Can someone help me? Christian

What are readings? You will some degree of continuity through the TWG pickups/filters.

From the manual i read that values of <50 Ohm will generate the continuity beep. Using resistance measurement, it shows ca. 1,5 Ohm from manual chassis to terminals, and ca. 3 Ohm from one terminal to another.

....and maybe you can help me with another question. Is it safe to turn on the organ without the lower manual installed?

1 - this is probably normal. Very low impedance system.
          2 - yes
