A new project thread for 2017
Hello everyone,
I recently acquired a very dusty and dirty Hammond M100.
----
This post will be my work log of restoration photos, I know you guys like that kinda thing, I certainly do. Looking forward to some of your comments as things develop. I'm also going to use this as my place to organise things in my head because it's quite a large project for me, encouragement is welcomed!

The AO-29 Amplifier

I had previously used white vinegar to clean things up but did nothing to the rust on the chassis it was far too deep.

I decided to completely strip the chassis including soldering lugs (if you look at my Flickr feed you'll see why); this required me to drill the rivets out which unfortunately broke one of the strips, all is not lost, I glued it back together with superglue and will mount it when the new hardware arrives.

I got my drill out, attached a wire brush attachment and went to town, I think the result is much better + 3 coats of clear lacquer, I know it doesn't need to look pretty, but that rust won't be doing anything any good in 20 years time!
