Ohming a run motor out on an M3, seems open on both sides.

Hello to anyone reading. M3 I picked up for free is dirty on the outside and surprisingly clean on the inside, especially the tone generator. Start motor works great, run motor never kicks in with the on switch. I soldier removed the, what looks like 4 wires on two terminals from the run motor(2 pairs of brown and black) to ohm out the 90 ohms on each side of the motor and it shows open in any combination of the 4 wires. I do not have a schematic or service manual and at this point am assuming the run motor on both sides are open and blown. My question is, did I do that right? LOL! This looks very simple to me how it works but need to verify, Thanks for any response!

You did it right. Where are you located? I have several 115V 3 series run motors.
