The title says it all. It also cuts in if I give the front panel a thump, which tells me its prone to vibration.

I've searched for wires coming adrift, loose pins etc, the bulb goes fine. The sensor doesn't complain if I wriggle its wires, nor does the pedal seem to.

The guys on Hammondzone haven't been able to suggest anything.

Why don't you purchase a rotary volume knob from a component store and put in place of the light sensor for a couple of days and see if she holds true? That would eliminate the sensor in the swell box. There is also a gain trim pot on the recovery preamp board I had nightmares with mine on the T202 if you turn it a bit you lose everything and a bit more and it's loud and crackly.

I found I can kick the front panel now and it goes back to normal!

By a vol knob, do you mean bypass the pedal and try manual control for a bit? (the EXPRESSION part of "expression pedal" will be somewhat compromised!) The sensor had had its wires snapped off with the pedal before I got it, but I'd managed to reattach them. Wiggling them doesn't seem to affect it.

I've fiddled with the trim on the recovery board too. The bit you're describing is where it seems to have (over)turned full circle and it's starting over again. I think if you turn it a bit further it has a more gradual effect...

but I'd wondered at one point (still not ruled it out!) if it was causing the prob even...

I've searched and found many faults (most of which are caused by my intrusions into the beast) and thought they were the cause.

Nope. It was good to find and fix them all the same.

I'll nail it one of these days, my sweet wife will be glad when I stop hiding in the back of the organ!

I can see a little bit oflight spilling from underthe pedal, if the bulb stops working I'll be able to see it.

Chris Clifton from hammondzone said he's seen a lot of intermittent pedals caused by the female contacts in the plug. He suggested closing them up with a small screwdriver. I'll try this today.

I won't cross my fingers though, becase it'll be dashed difficult to hold the screwdriver.

I had the back off the RT3 today (again) to refit the solovox and it works! You don't want to use the 32' pipe stops with out warning people and putting up some safety barriers!

I also rebuilt one of the Leslie motors. So I haven't been idle!

The foldback will be more of a new year's resolution [:D]

I had loads of chores to do today ready for the in laws coming tomorrow so I should have the kit in the post to you tomorrow.

just to back up the email I just sent you, Dave:

If there are two kits rather than four, and you intend on doing the lower manual, hold back on posting for now!

The upper is in a more dire need of foldback than the lower because:

The lower has ony two drawbars affected: one which loses only one note, the second which loses the top octave (or part octave, I don't recall)

The upper manual affects five drawbars, covering over an octave and a half. (significant on a four octave manual!)

However, if you have already posted them and you require X number of contacts (up to all of them) it will be as simple for me to mail them back... except there'll be a time lag involved!

On the Swell pedal, the bulb is okay, I've yet to check the contact. The Pedalboard really sets it off and on like somethin' else!

The best cure is to play at full volume ALL THE TIME then I won't notice it!
