Looks to be 1990's lowrey spinet of some sort, its a freebie,I'm getting it to replace my awful baldwin/orla RX220 that I use as a midi controller(and it don't even do that very well),Andy, you know these things inside and out, upside down and sideways,is the keyboard action on these lowreys pretty decent?,anythings got to be better than this awful cheapie italian job I've been using, its got the flimsiest/springiest/so cheap if you look at it wrong it will break kinda action,I'm hoping this little lowrey spinet will be a tad more rigorous

Early 90's low to mid-end model. It's probably built on a Kawai chassis with a lot of Kawai parts inside - the Lowrey NL series and Kawai KL series were the same things at heart. Voicing is by Lowrey, well, at least the flute voicing is, but it's not the usual smooth Lowrey sound. The orchestral and solo voices would be from Kawai, but then tweaked by Lowrey.
Free is the right price and it should be a bit better in overall quality than the Orla. I never had any issues with the keyboard action, it's either shipped in from Kawai or one of Lowrey's own. It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
