A relatively rare organ over here, so I don't know about things like reliability or leslie connections. It sure had a big sound. Like all big oldies, it should come for very little money these days. It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

The Xanadu, like most large Kimball organs of the 70’s and early 80’s, had an external speaker output that can be controlled by an add on 3 position switch that mounts under the keyboard on the right side and connects to a molex connector under the keyboard. The switch positions are Main (sound from Organ), Full (sound from both) and Echo (sound from external speaker).
The output was intended for a Kimball 012 tone cabinet, which contained 4 amps, 2 main channel amps, one bass channel, and one tremolo channel. The tremolo was electronic.
The outputs from a Xanadu are a common ground, main channel 1, main channel 2, bass channel and tremolo channel. A low voltage signal is also provided to control a relay in the 012 (24 v, I believe) which turns the electronics in the speaker cabinet on and off. That is controlled by a power button on the three position switch. Finally, the voltage signal that controls the speed of the internal rotosonic Leslie in the Xanadu is also output to control the tremolo in the speaker cabinet.
I know that there are conversion kits around somewhere for Leslies, but it probably wouldn't be too hard to wire one yourself if you know the pin contacts. If you don’t have the service manual, I could provide a copy of the relevant schematic.
I recently purchased the three way switch for use on my Sensation on Ebay for $15, but that is the only one I have ever seen. The 012 speaker cabinets are rare. Only once did I see one included with a Xanadu that eventually sold for $450 on Ebay. Not bad for an organ that cost five figures when new.
As to the sound, there are several demonstration albums available on ebay from time to time. There is a christmas album posted on Youtube and I have posted some demo tracks on Box. Here is a link. https://app.box.com/s/fsevl03lwxn2o2zhqtpj
