  • Roland RD2000 - Enabling MIDI pitch bend input?

Hi - new here, hope this is a good place for this question - I have a Roland RD2000 that I drive via MIDI (from my Boss SY-1000 guitar synth) that I just cannot get to respond to MIDI bend input. I know the SY1000 output is working, because it works with my Korg Kronos just fine. But the RD2000 ignores it, I've gone through all the settings I can find, even tweaked the per-zone bend range), but haven't found anything that works for the MIDI bend input. Any ideas?

FWIW, I tried to post this on the official Roland forums, but the registration emails never arrive. Frustrating!

    Welcome to the Forum.
According to the MIDI implementation chart (page 3)

    https://static.roland.com/assets/med...le_eng02_W.pdf

The RD-2000 responds to Pitch Bend input providing it follows the following format:

    Status 2nd byte 3rd byte
    EnH llH mmH

Using a MIDI monitor, check the output of the SY1000 to see if it conforms to this pattern.

      bholder,

Try checking your spam folder. Sometimes registration emails, from a domain you've never had emails from, tend to end up in the spam folder.
