  • Bought Barron Smith at 4800 Wurlitzer. Ugh! record missing, anyone have it?

Today I was thrilled to find International Records " Musical Gems" series Barron Smith at the Wurlitzer Concert Organ

I'd really like to hear the record, but a record 'lifter' crammed this record into another sleeve and made his way off with it at the checkout. DJ's aren't crooks, but some guys out there like to buy several records for the price of one or two. So the clerk gave me the record jacket as a souvenir.

Does anyone have this record and do you have a way to upload it to youtube?

I don't know what the average organ player thinks about sharing old organ vinyl on youtube, but I find it is not the organ players uploading their organ vinyl, it's other record enthusiasts. Come on people get with it, we all should share our organ music collections. Sure some of it was on major labels, but honestly I don't think they care about organ music. It wouldn't sell on i-tunes if it was a penny! If you are holding out because you feel that since you paid for it others should too then how much did you pay? My average organ vinyl is $1.00, but I paid $10 for my latest Youtube organ post- ' Mr. Fantastic John La Duca at the Wurlitzer 4500/4502/4300 '. These records are rare and you know something? Youtube is a great advertizer for a record I want to add to my collection. Just because someone has uploaded it doesn't mean I no longer desire to have it on vinyl. In fact it's just the opposite.

Please upload your organ records and put in the title 'Organ', or Electronic Organ etc. along with the make and model of the organ

I think the majority of UK material was on small independent labels that are now long, long gone. Ad Rhythm, Grosvenor, Teepee, Alamo, Doric, Amberlee to name a few. I don't think there's anyone left to complain!
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
