• AO-29 schematic

I need a schematic for the AO-29 (early field coil model) Amplifier in myHammond M-3. The one at Captain Foldback's site (and every other siteI have found)does not give the values of resistors and capacitors making it more a component location drawing.

I am overhauling the amplifier and need the schematic or a parts list showing the values of the components at called out in the component location drawing; for example: R-45....... 47000 Ohms @1/2 watt.

I have checked the service manual and see no schematic showing the parts inside the amp; The drawings there show how major components come together, but nothing about inside the amp other than the component location drawing discussed above.

    Thanks in Advance!

The M series service manual schematics do give the resistance values as well as capacitance values in the schematics. I am not aware of any parts list such as you're searching for. I have a set of original manuals for models up to 1974 and none has a list of every single component and value for the model covered. All the information you need can be determined from the actual components themselves on the amp chassis. The physical size of a resistor indicates its wattage in many cases, though some higher wattage resistors are marked with the value. Learning to read the colored bands on a resistor isn't that difficult (if you're not color blind!). Capacitors are also imprinted with everything you need to know regarding capacitance and voltage rating.

I'd suggest that you pull the amp, flip it over, and sit down with schematic to make your own parts list.

What I thought I would find is a schematic laid out like the AO-10 Pre-Amp schematic located at www.captain-foldback.com. I see now this must have been cut out and printed; thank you for the clairification!
